VALENTINO

Today I am wearing Alessandra Facchinetti's very sweet first collection for Valentino. Her departure from the label after just two seasons was not so pretty but lets not dwell on that and just coo over the delicious shoes!

look, the one on the left has just found out she gets to wear them too and they're dancing with joy!

...are these Toppers booties nice? I love the fabrics they've used and I can imagine they would look great with a pair of skinnies but is the shape just too dumpy? I can't decide.


Talking of Topshop shoes aren't these just so foxy. They don't look so great on the site itself but come alive when paw (foot) adorned. They create such a lovely shape for the leg, gosh I sound like some sort of shoe perv!


Topshop is consistently great at making affordable footwear but for serious shoe lovers check these YSL babys out, they say that shoes are the first thing on a girls shopping list when there's a recession (gasp sorry I thought I'd sworn never to use that word) - any excuse to buy shoes!


But what happens if you see some shoes that aren't so easy to snap up? I once followed a particularly gorgeous pair of heels all the way down Via Montenapoleone in Milano just to ask their owner where she had found them (and promptly went out and got myself a pair!). Similarly, I am IN LOVE with these gorgeous yellow YSL's courtesy of Jak and Jil blog, and those peg leg trousers, what a combo... any ideas where we can get our paws on them... anyone?


Aother thing that I have fallen head over heels for is the jewellery of Lizzie Fortunato I really like the fact that the high value is not because of diamonds or gold but because of the craftmanship and love that goes into each piece. enjoy!

JUST SAY NO!

This is the first time I've worn Viktor and Rolf and I must say it's extremely useful for sending out a clear message, just imagine it would be so useful to not have to bother saying "no I don't want to" or "dream on buddy, I don't think so!" you can just wear it on your chest for all to see.

They just recently had an exhibition in London with the most precious dolls dressed up in all their fantastical outfits. I just wanted to take them all home with me, in fact just one would have been enough but no matter how much I flashed my gold card at the gallery they weren't having it...

perhaps if I ask them nicely!

WHAT SHALL I WEAR TODAY?

I just made this huge drawing, 28 outfits it's just so hard to choose what to wear!

It took a while...

I might put it in the shop but I need to work out how to post it first!

I have been listening to this over and over

it's not out yet but I a friend of mine sent it to me and I love it for a wet Sunday afternoon

NEW DISCOVERIES

I just discovered two new labels, the first is Y and Kei... I just love the fact that they launched the Y & Kei line to fulfill their Buddhist belief in "watering the earth" and "nourishing the world with beauty and happiness" they certainly nourish my world. I just love that first outfit, so simple with printed party dress and cute dinner jacket, it looks so effortlessly stylish.

...and the other label is Sessun (thanks Amelia for the tip) we don't really use the word 'preppy' over here in the UK but this, I imagine, is a good example of modern preppy (please correct me if I'm wrong) anyway I think its perfect for no brain dressing, just chuck it on muss up your fur (sorry in your case its hair) and you're good to go.

another thing that recently caught my eye are these beautiful whale pictures, one of which won its category in National Geographic's best wild animal photographs of the year, phew thats a mouthful.... enjoy!
