a week in the life of...

Well today I am doing a little modeling for Little Thing Magazine and that has reminded me that I didn't show you guys the last shoot.
It was 'a week in the life of' so I gave them a week of diary entries and modeled what I had worn that week in the studio. It just so happened that I had chosen all the colors of spring as I was determined to combat all the gloom and doom that's been going around. We used coordinating backgrounds to create a whole rainbow of loveliness...

First up was this vibrant green coat perfect for those transition days when you can't figure out what the weathers doing.

monday
I'm having a slow day today, you know the sort of thing, lounging around in my pyjamas (Chanel of course) with my puppy Stella, eating crumpets, drinking hot tea and watching Breakfast at Tiffanys for the umpteenth time, I never tire of Audreys sweet face. Later I'm meeting my mum to have a pedicure, my paws are killing me from our ski-ing trip in St Moritz last week, I must find a more comfy pair of ski boots, the trouble is mine are just so stylish I have to put up with the pain. While I'm on the subject it's so hard to pull off the Russian princess look when your faced with puffa jackets and padded trousers I tend to follow Kate Moss's example and go for a Prada fur-trimmed jumpsuit - though mine is specially made with fake fur naturally. Hanging on the wardrobe is my new Ossie Clark grass green coat. Luckily for my mother I really want to wear it and so it's probably the only reason I'm actually going to be able to get dressed today!

Next I wore this little D&G number that I am planning on wearing on my summer hols. I might loose the fishnets though. They might give me a very strange tan!

tuesday
I've been visiting the showrooms today, picking out some extra bits and bobs to add to my growing summer wardrobe. I'm so excited about summer and finally getting to wear all the amazing clothes from the spring summer 09 collections. I have been drooling over them for long enough. As well as a very cute D&G ensemble I chose a gorgeous Chloe 'saskia' bag with vibrant green handles few pairs of great sunglasses, now I just need the sun to come out to wear them. Unlike some celebrities I'm not very good at wearing them in the evening. I just keep tripping over!

Next up was Marc by Marc Jacobs.

wednesday
Today I introduced my best friend Ruby Gatta on my blog. She's a cute cat and descended from a generations old italian family which means she makes the best pasta sauce you've ever tasted and has the stylish gene - just like me! Here's a picture of us together wearing more Chloe - It's a joint obsession we have. We grew up together as our mums were best friends too and I've always been able to depend on her, she is just the best and will always tell me if my bum looks big in something. Only true friends can be that truthful. We're going out for lunch today and I've taken the whole morning to work out what to wear. There are clothes, shoes and bags everywhere. My apartment looks like it's been burgled! I have finally settled on a gorgeous Marc by Marc Jacobs dress and cutely styled denim jacket, I fell in love with this whole collection, it's so young and fresh.

Here I am wearing Mulberry. I really adore the combination of blackcurrant and mustard.

thursday
lunch with Ruby was lovely, I wore Mulberry and we went to Selfridges. I had carrot and cucumber sandwiches and herbal lettuce tea and Ruby had tuna fish sandwiches and a glass of milk. Luckily the maitre d' knows us quite well because what we wanted wasn't actually on the menu but Daddy practically owns our usual table, he's in there so much, so they made an exception. Afterwards we did what we do best - shopping! Ruby bought a gorgeous aqua Fendi belt with the birthday money I had given her and I bought myself the most gorgeous dark purple suede Christian Louboutin shoes with the trademark red soles. What a gorgeous colour combination.

Of Course no lineup of my favorites would be complete without Luella and this collection was definitely the most cheerful of the season.

friday
I am having a serious rainbow moment today I wore a lovely Luella ensemble, all in shades of shocking orange and pink. Luella has to be one of my all time favorite designers, I had such a great time at her last show, walking down the serpentine in the sun with the rest of the fashion pack all in skyscraper heels to be met by Luella girls handing out pink balloons and pink meringue pigs she makes everything so much fun!

With it's huge bouncy skirt this Lemon Giambattista Valli dress is perfect for dancing in so I ended up spinning around the studio sending Stella chasing at my heels barking and yelping - I very nearly knocked over the refreshments table!

Friday Continued
This evening I've donned an amazing yellow Giambattista Valli dress to meet Sonny (my boy) we're going jiving. It's all the rage in London at the moment and so much fun. Though I have to watch how much champagne I drink because it doesn't mix too well with the being thrown around the dancefloor... wish me luck!

Hope you enjoyed the shoot as much as I did

just mooching

Wowa. I hear Topshop is opening over on US soil today. You lucky things, get ready for super cool catwalk inspired pieces at great prices... even us label lovers adore Topshop. Oh and good luck with the cat fighting over those geometric print leggings everyone's been talking about. I'm not sure if the Kate Moss collection is going to be available but it's been launched over here today. I love this vintage inspired rose print dress. Should have my paws on one very soon, I love internet shopping, it's so easy peasy.

Today I've been mooching around in these darling peach glasses by Paul Smith and a cute little vintage patchwork thing that I picked up in Morocco. I knicked these beads from my mother. She has all this jewellery from the seventies just lying around waiting to be slipped into my bag, I just couldn't resist!

fifi lapin shop update

Back in February I was lucky enough to be whisked away for Valentines day by the lovely Sonny Hare to the capital of love, Paris... you may remember that we asked a very sweet tourist to take our picture, she was all the way from Korea and had actually heard of me so I was very excited and felt like a film star! Well now, if you'd like, you can buy a reprint of that very photograph, 'my heart belongs to Paris'.

Don't we look cute! I'm very excited because this will be just the first photo available from my personal collection.

I have also released fine art prints of both my gifts from Sonny, 'you are beautiful' and 'fififlies'

all the print are available in my official shop here
and in my etsy store here

autumn colours

Today I'm wearing mostly autumn colours from the Chloe spring summer collection and I'm mostly staying indoors - it's not quite warm enough outside for bare legs just yet!

what colour are you wearing today?

Talking of autumn colours I've been thinking about Dries Van Noten's latest collection. It was such a breath of fresh air to see some colour on the winter 09 catwalks and what a lovely colour palette it was too. Perfect for kicking up some autumn leaves... without wishing my summer away I could almost look forward to it!

kindred print - new in the shop!

Exciting news, I created a special spring inspired artwork for the kindred project. A venture set up by the creators of super cool blogs decor8 and creature comforts who commissioned some of their favourite artists to create desktop wallpapers for you to enjoy at no charge — a way of saying thanks to all of our daily readers and friends... and now I am releasing the piece as a print so you can enjoy it on your wall as well as your computer.

buy the print here
download the desktop wallpaper here

and here's the little interview I did for them...

You were given Pantone's color predictions for Spring to draw inspiration from. What colors did you end up selecting and why?
"I chose salmon rose, rose dust, slate grey and vibrant green, I wanted to keep the colour scheme simple to create a coherent collection."

What does Springtime mean to you?
"Hope... that soon I will be running bare paw through lush green fields feeling the sun on my fur. I love summer and so spring is a sign it's on it's way."

How did you try to translate that into your work?
"As a fashionista most of my day is taken up by deciding what I might wear and so I just imagined 10 days worth of my ideal spring outfits. I snuck in a little cloud because here in Britain we appreciate the rain - we have too! and without the rain we wouldn't have the lush green countryside that epitomises Britain in spring."

enjoy!

hair

One thing you may not know about me is that I often dream about having hair. Well it's not that I am exactly hairless, it's just that fur is a very different texture to hair and it never grows longer than an inch - and that's only when it gets really cold. The sort of hair I long for is the long silky tresses that models seem to possess. You know the ones... no matter how many different fantastical crimped updo's and furiously backcombed creations they have to go through for the shows it still hangs down beautifully. Swaying while they walk and blowing around them like an advert for posh shampoo.

Sigh.

I thought the only option for me would be to wig it - which I am not adverse to (see above - this look from Betsey Johnson somehow wouldn't be complete without the splash of pink) but now Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy has used hair to make the dresses. Masses of it, long and black and so silky. It's not exactly practical daywear but I'm considering it, even if it's just because I get to say I'm worth it =;x)

feeling normal again

Hurrah! I feel like a normal rabbit again, the kinks have come out of my long silky ears and the my eyes are looking a lot less like a pet shop rabbit. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just I prefer to wear pink on my outer garments rather than my inner self. I tentatively left the house today without sunglasses for the first time in a week, accompanied by Sonny, both wearing spring/summer Mulberry. We went for a little stroll in the park. The weather has been lovely here and we just lay in the grass cloud spotting, listening to the birdsong and munching on the clover. Just feeling normal is suddenly so appealing.

hope you have a good day today

under the weather

Hello me dearys,
I've got the dreaded lurgy... flu and pinkeye... unlike some rabbits I don't naturally have pink eyes so it looks awful and I am hiding inside with my largest YSL sunnies on watching movies and daytime tv on the sofa with my paws up. I've even been off my food which is not like me at all. Sonny even tried to tempt me with his infamous beetroot brownies but all I've managed is a few sips of carrot juice (thanks Irene for the suggestion) which brings me to this adorable picture from flickr member Maria*PA who looks after some of the most adorable of my cousins. look at the sign; good for what ails yer! so sweet...
