I've been thinking about Halloween. I'm just not sure about dressing up this year, maybe I'm finally growing up but I just feel like wearing a really FAB dress. Do you think that's a cop out? Should I be trying harder to channel spiders and ghouls? (by the way that whole set creeps me right out!) I know I'm going to get stick from my friends but I have a Marchesa dress on order and this is the best excuse to wear it as soon as possible!

It's All In The Details

Chanel Spring/Summer 2014

Loving the details at Chanel, such beautiful craftmanship. The show itself was set in a Chanel art gallery with all the art conceived by Karl himself. I think he had his tongue firmly in his cheek with one particular exhibition - a naked male mannequin on all fours carrying a Chanel tyre on his back. I won't even guess the meaning behind that one!

Showtime!

Valentino Spring/Summer 2014

Well what a few weeks it has been. New York, London, Milan and now Paris. I am in heaven darlings! I've just hopped out of the Valentino show and of course everything was to die for.  I'd call it Navajo meets Catholicism. Gorgeous!

My Smythson notebook is literally heaving with notes, sketches and lists - long ones, with lots of delicious designer names on! I've already let you in on some of my favorites from New York fashion week but I have to say that Proenza Schouler topped that particular list. I was literally ticking off every outfit in the look book so I better start sucking up to Daddy. I could wear the whole collection and not get bored.

Honor Spring 2014

Well, what a wonderful whirlwind of a start to the next 4 Fashion weeks! NYC has been good to me yet again (big thanks to my hosts, you know who you are!) and my shopping list is already bursting at the seams of it's Italian hand crafted calves leather cover. But for now I'd like to share with you my current highlights... First up it's Honor, a playful collection with just a hint of Wednesday Adams. Spooky summer perkyness!

The Marc by Marc Jacobs collection reminded me of a vintage homemade kids halloween outfit I saw on pinterest once. I wonder if it was their starting point? Regardless, I am loving the hand crafted aesthetic, the star motif jumpsuits were no. 1 on my list.

The silhouettes in Vick's collection were like an illustrators dream. Gorgeous!

The lovely folks over at Minnetonka have very generously sent me not one but 3 pairs of their gorgeous moccasins. One pair for moi, one for my besty Ruby and one for my god-daughter Mae (Mae Tuzi - her surname is Chinese for rabbit, isn't that cute!) I think my friends were probably feeling a bit crazy when they made me a godparent, I mean is it really sensible to let someone like me have any sort of influence on a growing mind. Maybe they were just thinking that at least she'd have a fab wardrobe to inherit!?
