On the 22nd day of Christmas...
Yum I just had the perfect Croissant for breakfast, they have their own french pastry chef here at the hotel which is lucky as i do insist on only the finest when I am on my hols. Today is the first day of summer and its beautiful and sunny with a clear blue sky so I thought I would match myself in with this gorgeous ultramarine silk number from Bottega Veneta. I also have two more for later...
...green for my afternoon in the great outdoors (well the park!) and red for watching the beautiful sunset from my balcony
This morning I also went to the famous Recoleta graveyard where Eva Peron is buried. It has a lot of skinny cats lounging around the place, Ruby would like it round here =;x) I laid a red rose on her tomb and had a good nose around. Some very impressive families have been buried there. I should mention us getting a spot to Daddy. Afterward we had afternoon tea at the Alvear Palace Hotel. It like the Ritz only better and more authentic. you know the sort of thing lots of glamorous old dears plus Americans with plastic surgery. I had scones with lemon curd and cream and chocolate cake and blue earl grey tea, twice.
I just had a pedicure in their gorgeous little spa and I now have bright red toenails! I'm wandering around the beautiful gardens writing this on my iphone. It really is stunning with fancy water features dotted around, old trees and the sound of birds tweetering away. The next door palace is derelict and looks spookily romantic. Apparently the old lady who owns it got jilted at the alter, left Argentina and refuses to sell. what a great novel that would make!

my heart belongs to paris
Happy Valentines day everyone.I am so excited because yesterday morning Sonny woke me up and flew me to Paris! (actually I was a teensy bit miffed when we got on the plane at Kennedy because I realised I was going to miss two whole days of the fall shows but I had to forgive him when he told me where we were going)
So now I am writing this in a gorgeous little wi fi cafe with a steaming hot cup of chocolate and a delicious french pastry... we've already been to see the Eiffel Tower and I took some snaps on my beloved polaroid, of course I've seen it many times but the romance of it never ceases to amaze me...

we asked a very sweet tourist to take our picture, she was all the way from Korea and had actually heard of me so I was very excited and felt like a film star! We are both wearing Bottega Venetta, doesn't Sonny look smart in his suit... it was my valentines present to him (and of course I just had to buy the matching dress!)

I even bought him the gorgeous leather briefcase but he was having none of it and said it looked like a handbag - you know what he's like, he doesn't really understand fashion. I tried to tell him that man bags are all the rage

Here's my valentines card to Sonny. I'd love to say I had a studio set up to create this shot but actually Ruby helped me to photoshop my head onto an orginal vogue clipping that was kindly lent to me by vintage photo collector Jessica.
sigh, glamour just seemed to come to easily in the 1930's
and here's Sonny's card to me, isn't he the sweetest? He created this especially for me. He's so clever, I love the simplicity of it and of course the fact that it says I'm beautiful!
...and this was his gift to me (as well as the trip to Paris - aren't I the lucky one!) I've only seen this picture so far but later on we are going to a private butterfly house where he says he has had some bred just like it... can you see the hidden fifi elements in the patterns on their wings? impossible don't you think? I reckon after nearly two years of dating Sonny I know him and his mischiveous ways pretty well and I'm certain that it's just some elaborate valentines hoax. I told him that if they are real I'll eat my Sonia Rykiel bowler hat and worryingly he told me I'd better bring some tommy k to make it more palletable!
have a really lovely day and come back Monday, I'm having a very special giveway

fashion whore

morning dudes and dudettes, well the sun is shining again and all is well with the world. I've been mooching in Bottega Venetta this morning, so classy, don't you think?
Did you hear about hello kitty modeling for Christian Dior in Japanese vogue? A rival for my fashion crown perhaps? To be restricted to only one label though, really! I am such a label whore it could never be done. There are labels I love love love but to give up the others ooh la la! I heard that Stella McCartney only wears her own label, reasoning that she can just design whatever she fancies, unfortunately this self-obsession didn't extend to sun protection, but happily now she can finally wear sunglasses with the launch of her own range. I'm already on the waiting list!

Introducing....
Some of you may have wondered what I've been up to in my recent absence. there was rumours of Mr McGregor catching up with me and a faint smell of stew but fear not, the real reason is because I have met a very nice boy and he seems to have taken up all my spare moments (i.e. when I'm not shopping for clothes or munching on a la carte carrots). So anyway I'd like to introduce you to my friend (who just happens to be a boy - its far too early at this stage to say 'BF')
.....Sonny Hare

(here we are in Bottega Venetta - isn't he yummy!)

Bottega Veneta

Tomas Maier, creative director of bottega veneta since 2001, has put his unmistakably chic stamp on the luxury goods house. "I have stuck to the basic principles-great design, the finest quality and unique make," he explains. "My aim for Bottega is simple: To make beautiful things." And that he most certainly does. Today I will mostly be wearing bottega veneta
